“WHEN WE WERE STILL OURS”
Tripp has built his life on control—on the quiet confidence that he can keep everything exactly where it belongs. The version of himself the world sees is disciplined, composed, and untouchable, but beneath that carefully managed exterior is a second life shaped by impulse, secrecy, and a growing pattern of choices he convinces himself are temporary. For a while, the separation holds. Until it doesn’t. As the consequences begin to surface, what unfolds isn’t just a reckoning, but a love story tested at its breaking point—one that asks whether something built on truth can survive what was hidden, and whether the person who tried to outrun it all can still find his way back to something real.
For the time being, this is the only story currently coming from The House. In the coming weeks, additional chapters will be published each week.
🚪NEWS FROM THE ROOM OF INDULGENCE
“THE STEPDAD DIARIES”
What started as a quiet summer at the shop turned into something neither Harrison nor Jeff saw coming. A single moment shifted everything, blurring lines that should’ve stayed clear and pulling them into a tension they couldn’t ignore. What followed—stolen glances, crossed boundaries, and a connection that refused to stay contained—only grew more complicated when Jeff tried to redefine the rules instead of face them. Now, after one night that changed everything and forced Harrison to confront what he actually wants, he’s walked away—leaving Jeff behind to wrestle with a truth he can’t outrun.
The Stepdad Diaries is a slow-burn descent into taboo desire and erotic awakening. A story about restraint snapped, lines blurred, and the way two men lose themselves in one night they can’t take back—and might not want to.
“FROM ACROSS THE ROOM”
After ten years of marriage, Jensen agrees to an arrangement he never thought he’d accept: watching his wife sleep with another man. What begins as a carefully negotiated compromise—meant to revive a stagnant intimacy—slowly unravels as Jensen realizes that observation offers neither safety nor neutrality. Told through the night that changes everything, From Across the Room traces how a marriage renegotiates desire—and how one man discovers that agreeing is not the same as choosing.

✦ Upcoming Series
“FRATERNAL”
At a packed college nightclub, nearly identical twin brothers Asher and Ezra Hale make a reckless bet: whoever can seduce the same guy first wins. Their target, Elliot Rhodes, has no idea he’s being pursued by two different men as the brothers take turns stepping into the same identity. What begins as a controlled game quickly spirals—Elliot falls for the contradictions he thinks belong to one person, Asher’s competitive edge turns possessive, and Ezra forms something real. As the deception deepens and the lines between performance and truth collapse, all three are forced to confront the fallout of a connection that felt real—but was built on a lie.
“Fraternal” will premiere in The Room of Indulgence.

The road to 3,000 subscribers is well underway and the milestone story is being written as we speak and I’m excited to share it with you.

“IN PLAIN SIGHT”
The youngest Chief Medical Examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia is paired with an ambitious Richmond homicide detective on a high-profile case. As the investigation deepens, professional friction gives way to reliance, trust, and something more dangerous. When the case closes, neither man is the same.

✦ Special Note: A Note on Stories
Writing can feel solitary. Most of it happens in quiet rooms, in early mornings or late nights, in moments where it’s just you and the sentence you’re trying to get right.
But the truth is, none of us do this alone. Every writer is shaped by the ones who came before them—the stories that stayed, the voices that lingered, the techniques we studied without even realizing it.
If this space has become anything beyond a place to read, I hope it can also be a resource. A place where you can study the rhythm of a scene, the way tension builds, the way a moment lands and lingers. Not as a blueprint—but as proof that there are a hundred ways to tell something honestly.
I don’t have all the answers. I’m still learning the work as I go. But I believe in sharing what I’ve figured out along the way, in leaving the door open a little wider for the next writer who steps through it.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about telling stories.
It’s about building something that lasts longer than any one of them.
